"Painting is 'seeking'" and the quote "art is best in the unknown" - from a famous Norwegian artist - is a clue. With a poetic approach to the surface, I use intuition while building up the image/work. I often paint from the color, and seek to create exciting and varied structures in a tactile surface. All materials are used, oil, acrylic, spray paint, varnish, sand - & textiles. All pictures are varnished at least 2 times. Substrates are canvases, wooden boards, glass, etc. Sometimes I move more towards the sculptural.
